My buddy who was one of the biggest collectors of rare, 'unique' and interesting items during 1.08-1.09 had a 1 paladin / Cannot Be Frozen / min or max dmg / life / str ring.

Yes, this was on closed bnet USEast.

If anyone here played a LOT or was really rich on east they might remember him. *Leandros was his main account.

He had bots on *Leandros.2 and *Leandros.trades always spamming the trade channels looking for more weird stuff to buy.

Surely someone here will remember him.

Edit: and to be clear here - neither him nor I knew where the ring originally came from. It may have been a weird import that was a one off thing or maybe it was actually rolled that way on closed bnet.

brandonkellner: 15:42 Damage reduced by 24 is insane. That's 1 under the max of a magic only affix for amulets.

endlesshorizon2000: You could use a hero editor to make all possible color variants of items, including colors coming from sockets (e.g pink armor). There were some screenshots floating around, e.g. the super light blue chars for trade, but there were also those endless discussion about "pink" executioner swords.

franks6262: Early in development sorc was going to have a poison tree but they scrapped it
th3n3wk1dd: The only way the poison damage would make sense would be if you made a Zealot Malee Sorc... use Enchant and Fire Mastery.. and if the ammy rolled 2 to Sorc skills with 3 to Fire Skills... well.. then the poison might make sense... but you are right. The poison damage on a caster is pretty much a dead stat.
endlesshorizon2000: Europe used to have multiple duped amulets - for example Bone Heart ( 2 to Barbarian Skill Levels, 2 to Amazon Skill Levels, 5% Life Stolen per hit, 18 to Dexterity, 12 to Life, 6 to Mana). It wasnt a good amulet - more of a curiosity that players would keep in their collections (there were much better amulets for one class)
I always wondered if the amulet was an import, or how this was created in the first place. On an unrelated note I have some really nice SOJ rolled amulets - but it's quite clear that the guy who sold them was using duped SOJs and skulls.


To the author: you should run some very eary version (1.00?) and check items with "more damage at dusk" - I think it was related to the day/night cycle that is visible in act 1, not sure if this worked in later acts.
KilonBerlin: Po means As_s in German, might be one reason why they didn't name a rune like that (I don't think its the main reason ofc), while po is still among the "nicer" words for this such a rune would be strange in the German version^^
nicholaswaterman7800: Hey, I just want to mention. Pick up the Horadric Cube, drop it on one item, then click again and the item will automatically deposit itself into the cube. It's a faster way to load the cube.

powerpower-rg7bk: What we need is a mod that’s enable all the legacy content from classic D2 into modern D2R. All the disabled runewords and the disable crafter recipes: open them back up. Just make the 1.08 Valkyrie Wing drop along the modern counterpart as yet another unique.
