Diablo 2 RotW Fist of Heavens Upgrade?

haydenrick4911: If you want a truly fun build do this.

    1. Max FoH and Holy Bolt
    2. Max Hammers, Vigor & Blessed Aim
    3. Use a pride (20 conv) merc.
    4. Use new H-Din gear (Void, Sling, Hellwarden, 2/20, Hoz, Arachs (better for FOH)

I get 11K Holy Bolt and 10K Hammers . So I have essentially the same level of FOH power as a pure FOHer and 10K hammers for immunes/bosses. The hammers hit harder than holy bolt because I think they benefit more from -res due to holy bolt ignoring magic res. Also hammers can be pre casted versus bosses like diablo. I will often precast hammers and then use holy bolt in case of my pre-casted hammers being out of position.

I use FOH for killing large packs of demons and undead (chaos runs etc).

I use hammers for single targets like bosses and non-demons/undead.

I use holy bolt for hard to reach enemies for hammers (ghosts that fly off the edge of the map or fast targets that are annoying to tele stomp)

I will pre-spin hammers for baal waves and then spam FOH when the packs spawn.

    125 fcr
    Max block
    Max res

A pure hammerdin setup will still outperform certain tasks on Players 8, but this hybrid build is more versatile and is way better at lower/mid player counts.

A pure foher is just strictly worse than the hybrid build IMO. The hammers provide so much value.
Pruflas-Watts: FOH Hammers Hybrid is my favorite build. At lvl 94, I Max hammers, holy bolt, fist of heavens, and vigor. 1 into holy shield, concentration, and redemption, and 12 points into blessed aim.

FOH and holy bolt on most mobs and hammers for everything else. 5.5 - 5.7k hammer damage with budget gear.

My favorite way to play solo self found online ladder.
nolan6137: Full Griswalds with 12 5/5 light faclets completely stomps as well.
redwoolsocks: Thanks again for doing these videos. Very cool to see the results!
    doitallman: Nice video
sylvainh2o: On Maxroll the Sunder is a Lightning charm not Magic. So the Jewel should also be lightning not magic isnt?
justinman114: I feel like the minus enemy magic res isn't even working with FoH because I notice a huge difference when I use it with hammers, even if it's just -20% or so.
DNGR369: It’s easy to assume that all ‘Magic’ damage in Diablo II works the same — Necro magic, Warlock magic, Paladin magic. But Blizzard’s implementation is inconsistent: Paladin magic uses special‑case flags that behave differently from the standard magic system, and even within Paladin magic, Blessed Hammer and Holy Bolt each use their own separate special‑case mechanics. So the interaction isn’t linear at all
kikeoenr: As far as i know , Holy Bolt set magic resistance from undead enemies to zero , so the new setup might be better against demons(or not because the loss of skills) but it should be worse against undeads.
brett4932: Neat, but pretty sure none of this gear actually works on the FOH magic aspect...
danielbarnai8982: Bro use conviction aura this hammerr build not a foher....
jemand8462: Could you try out the new built with the same amount of skill points as the old built? You could take our a few skillers in the old build to synchronize the skill points and then run CS in the same way as in the video.
Like this, the -res could still work as it seems they kill equally fast while having different skill levels. If - magic res didn’t work, the new built would be much slower.
KORNBG: Theres literally no point in running meditation,
40 points into an aura you can just get from prayer cure insight combo u can use potions. Also no conv on foh rly.
jemand8462: I tried some of these items out and to me it felt as if it worked, albeit to a verd weak extent. Your testing is disappointing:( a few more aspects I found: on the d2planner of maxroll the -% magic resist works, if you choose a monster and look into calculations.
Also: there’s a weird situation in uber Tristam where you can kill all the (magic immune) death lords with the holy bolts of foh, but they seem to be totally immune to the holy bolts of holy bolt itself. This hasn’t been the case before the update afaik.
They should really make the holy bolt damage more transparent. Either make it 100% magic damage like hammers or introduce a new damage class „holy damage“
