Diablo 2 The Last TRUE Diablo Game?!

TheUhmmmmmmmm: I started in 3 went to 4 then finally went back to 2 for the first time, it's honestly a masterpiece for the time it was made. Really grindy but really brings me back to old games.

Really the only thing holding it back is the bank/inventory/not stacking items IMO, Runes/Gems would help a lot. I think Runewords are a little strong too but overall, they are optional to use even.

I'm glad this remaster actually is decent. They did alter the gameplay abit but I would say most of it was for the better.
zday40k: Tbh I really did like prenerf d3 when it first came out, grinding through hell mode was pretty hard and slogging affair that I enjoyed with my friends but I hated rifts and the loot pinata at the end

Tpike777: I always come back to d2 and sometimes Ill be hooked on it for a couple months. There are alot of great QoL mods to be found, and alot of others that can dramatically alter the entire game if you're into that. I personally keep it vanilla, with some basic upgrades like bigger inventory, simplified cube recipes and currency stacking. D2 is timeless, it is the last diablo game blizzard made as far as Im concerned.. And I'll always go back to play it

nathanielnizard2163: d3 had the merit of having a based engine, like d2 had for its days, but they did not had the incentive to "complete" it. The 4 however is conceptualy botched, it's turbo shit but the storytelling is great, it's the only thing it has for itself.
