Diablo 2s Demons are Weirder Than You Think

EgoEroTergum: I read somewhere that in the original game, before the expansion, the spawns of the Corrupt Rogues were set up in such a way that they became more corrupt the further you got towards the monestary; starting out as posessed women with armor and shields, and slowly progressing to the fleshier, more daemonic forms.

This was possible, because the Corrupt Rogues were used as a testbed for the armor and weapon sprites.

I'm going to have to reinstall sometime without the expansion and see for myself.

Nerobyrne: There's a lot of criticism of Diablo 3, but one of the things I really liked is how the bestiary is in-game and plays as an audio log as you encounter enemies.
Really adds a lot of depth to even the more boring parts of the quest.

bluelick7578: A topless quota is something I can get behind as an art style. No point in being a prude where there would definitely be explicit material where every other aspect of the games are gory and hyper violent.
stfinalwrath: Not only did they have topless demons, but they also had "ahem" bottomless demons. Specifically, the ones that slave away under the overseers have their bits swingin' in the breeze. Unironically took me YEARS to even notice that detail.
