ogrrr: My go-to early ladder hustle is similar. Sell random items for P. Amethysts. Trade 7 amethysts for ist. Trade ist for 10 amethysts. Buy Ber for 70 amethysts, sell for 18 ist. Repeat. It's a reliable grind to enigma/infinity.

Shields apparently have different weights which I'm guessing influences your movement speed.
Everyone knows what I mean when you say that with this game somehow you are still always learning new things even though I played it since the beginning.

ZealotBoy: Back in the LoD days I shopped an 88 life, 4 socket armor which sold for several high runes. I am awesome.
joyl7842: I always farmed DClone every ladder season to sell unidentified Anni's for Ist runes. Then I would sell x-number of Ist runes for High Runes until I could make Enigma.
I would start out with my Summoner Necro killing the very first spawn of DClone (managed to do it at level 75 one time!) for my own Anni (it's incredibly easy, all you need is the right Curses and the runeword Edge in a bow - leading to DClone practically killing himself hitting your Fire Golem) and after that I would join as many games as I could on my Fanaticism Zealer using Grief (I cannot overstate how quickly DClone dies on that character wielding Grief). The most I got in one spawn was 12 unid Anni's. That's 12 Ist runes guaranteed. People were lining up and even multi-buying when they didn't get the roll they wanted.
It seems incredibly stupid to pay Ist for a low-rolled Anni when you could get unidentified instead.
During two ladder seasons though someone completely random simply gave me an Enigma.
