I Was Wrong About Diablo 2 Single PlayerAug 13 2026
SpikeSlayer: If you want your characters from the other PC, you can just copy the save file and put it on the other. thats what i do when i dont wanna sit at my desk
floh_89: You can also set your system clock to match the terror zone you want, in single player
slickrick6837: Single player protip: Make a goldfind barb. Most of your characters will need at least 1 good rare ring, some of them 2. Some will need very specific things like a dual leech ring or a melee ring with fcr. Some will need good rare ammies and/or circlets. Chances of getting these from drops are very low, only gambling a bunch of them will eventually get you some good ones.
Another tip: look for & save up low level gear charms for a sorceress. The SocketRocket can get 3 socket quests in just a couple of hours, it's fun & relaxing. When you use up the quests, delete & reroll her. I named one Ring_Gambler and got her to 83, another one Boot_Gambler and she's 43. 83 is the ideal level to gamble rare rings, and to craft blood rings. 43 is ideal to gamble tri-res 30/10 boots with mf or gf.
Durrtyboy: I only play single player now
GUILBERTRomain: Hello Spiffy VeiN, I will say the single player mode.
domagojkersun9630: Still remember few months ago how I grinded my first Enigma in SP. Sorc was in LK and Barb was fighting Travs!
BER rune drop in LK, awesome moment! "Only" 11% away from unique grail finish.
unixtreme: I am a single player enjoyer but I like online much more just because playing with people is fun.
I'm starting to consider just moving onto non-ladder online as a compromise, but it's true that a ladder leveling spree every once in a while is very fun, like how we leveled warlocks basically at the same time during the first season of ROTW haha.
hatohato8649: I think playing online is a lot of fun until I get Enigma, CTA and Torch.
After that, though, online and offline play are pretty much the same. It’s just a matter of doing solo treasure hunts.
Plus, the high-end trading market is flooded with items priced exorbitantly for resale, which is really frustrating.
That’s why I stop playing online at that point and switch to offline play.
M1abrums: Dude what is your assassin at the beginning wearing? Her armor looks sick af
attractivegd9531: HC player here, offline only!
zwaantje78666: I think nothing beats single player , i love finding stuff myself . Now i am uprading a paladin from scratch because i farmed enough keys with my warlock whom i geared with my sorc . And what torch i may find , that will be my next character .
I like to play on my own time , i cant spend more than 2 or 3 hours in a row . And most times i can play 2 evenings per week . So ladder is not for me . When i was young , i loved it . Every night with random people or friends . But not anymore .
Do what you like and thanks for the video !
nonamejedi: Hardcore singleplayers unite!
ARCCAsChickenGun: Single Player stops working after 30 days of not logging into Battlenet.
MycketTuff: Get Project Diablo 2 for some added offline variety.
matthewb7053: Nice!!
olololo1450: Single player everyday. Even tho it was very hard at first when i didnt have all the gear. Now i only miss the new rings and the new amulet. Still i play every day for some reason. I have literally no need for any loot anymore other than the jewelry i mentioned.
jeffreymakuch2493: What I've done for the online character limit is have 2 characters with well-thought out names for each class, so I can have a few build types for each class. I play them sometimes when not playing ladder to grind to 99. That's 16 slots, leaving 10 available, which is enough for some mules plus a few characters for each season which I then delete after season is over. I will also say that there are a lot of games for non-HC non-ladder online versus HC non-ladder online.
To keep offline stash from getting clogged up, I just keep a list of items I've found and then hero edit them back in if I want to use them. This works well for unique and set items, less so for rares or items with a lot of variables.
chrisjones6002: I really got into online once D2r launched and spent a ton of time playing. That actually became a problem after a while, I felt obligated to play because I knew my friends were. It eventually got to the point that I quit playing D2 for a few years. I started back up a few months ago on ladder but it was not long before reset so it felt like a waste. I watched a video suggesting SP and have been hooked ever since. My first big goal was enigma, which I got about a month ago. Now I need an anni and at least one torch but I'm sure I'll farm a bunch eventually. Then maybe uber ancients?
test-rj2vl: 0:30 - About trading - there are actually mods that try to bring trading to single player. The way they work is that they add a ton of cube recipes. For example Shako -> Ist and so on. So you can still use the unique items you find to speed up your runeword building time for example. The downside with such mods is that you don't always get fair price because such cube formula would overpay for Shako 98 and underpay for Shako 141. But it's still better than cubing runes until you can build enigma for example. Technically cube recipiees also allow you to check item stats (although it's limited to checking just 1 stat) such as def or skills and so on but that kind of finetuning would mean that 400 cube recipes would become 4000 cube recipes and no modder wants to do that much work.
3deuce: I think there should be a SSF ladder where you can change player settings but still get the shot to climb to top of ladder
reedpatterson: Single Player HC. Always barbarian. It's satisfying, and fits my schedule these days. One day I'll get back to the excitement of ladder resets!
sepg5084: Multiplayer Ladder is nice for players that have time for it. I have a job, other hobbies, and other responsibilities where if i played ladder i'd be a bottom feeder and be under geared til the season ends.
YuukiShinosaki: i prefer SP, but i mainly play online atm. i dont have a good offline character yet but i have some good ones online. and since im trophy hunting im going for which is easier which atm for me is online.
TorranGamer: I like that you have characters in all kind of mods, it clearly show that you are open minded
rgracon: I really wish there was a way to copy all my online characters to single player, without having to create them all in an editor… Static maps, players X, and unlimited character slots are all too good compared to being online, where basically you lose all that just to get the ability to trade.
jesperandersen8509: Sp is superior for all the reasons you mentioned!!
Only thing that would be better is if they gave us tcp/ip thing again.. so you could play p8 with a friend or 2...
jessybenoit4488: I feel there are no enough incentives to play online, except trades.
With runeword auras, don't need a pal.
With CTA, don't need a barb.
With proc affix, don't need a necro and so on.
Merc can be a decoy. So, it is less important to have a tanky companion.
They should give bonuses (XP, or even loot) from characters inside the same perimeter. But with the bot problem, any solutions can be worse. Even if the d4 mega-bosses is a bit odd, I think it could help d2r online.
