ChhoffMusic: I think allowing yourself to use the demon tree, but ONLY to consume demons would be a fun addition to the way this challenge is playing out.
Edit: Using and gambling for a weapon that could also be good for your merc (like poleaxe) would be a great way to gear both of you at the same time, as he could get your hand-me-downs.

davidsafayee9072: I can't help but point out that the mechanic's circlet represented an opportunity to have 30% resistance to one element via a rune. I think I would have kept that honestly, but then again I do like to min-max. Thanks for the content.
kaptenteo: Not all polearms have the same range. Scythe has shorter range than War Scythe, for example.
