Dawnarow: I've found a 240ed erep fools trident (can't recall the upgraded type). I've sold it for 10k fg and bought another one that was better for 1k fg. That was a laugh. And it happened within the same week.
The best rare helm I've found was a 2sorc/20fcr/30frw/17str/13allres. I slapped a 9str/15allres jewel in it and swap it from a 25/20 griffons 253 def I have also found after 2 years of playing on/off. Stopped for a year and kinda sticking around for the extra storage to pop up... then I might be gone again to go back to travelling. What's great about d2r is... you can actually travel. With d2lod you would just get your account banned if you logged from somewhere else. They also provided a bunch of nonsensical explanations for banning people it was quite frustrating as a kid. I always played legit (hence me remembering all of this). Rares in this game are So incredibly rare and make the game awesome. All they had to do was to sell us stash tabs on release and d4 would've been Very close to d2Lod, but something larger if you ask me. I do juggle hypotheticals for a living so this is not biased. As objective as it can be... this game had the progression, intuitive and immersive aspects down to the details even though it was so simple (seemingly... the mechanics are quite detailed when you look into them specifically for pvp), the design (realistic even if the colors were a bit more saturated then... they should've kept those imo :p) and several "endgames" rather than just grind: trading, leveling, dueling, different types of itemization for the purpose you prefer, classes with big differences to adapt to one's preferences, synergies that could've been improved upon in d4, but were incredible for that time. Stats sheet shouldn't be more complicated either, but that's a personal preference. D3 introduced having a pair of pants probably to keep us from dumping over the franchise. Since d3, their inability to sell us stash tabs (that has found itsway in d2r then d4) really just destroyed the franchise for me. Poe did it 17years ago now? I can't even imagine how much money they've gotten from that and micro transactions which, in d2r, could've just been to sell overlays for the player to enjoy. Xmas overlay? 3D models for monsters xD. That'd be awesome and people would pay well for some of these. While they really didn't need to be all that complicated, you can easily include stash tabs stickers with the overlays that only you can see. You can steal this idea and present it to them with... what's his name again. Collab with Barricade (He plays d4 now). I'm sure he'd love to do this with you for the new year. With Generative ai he'll just do it in a record time as he's a good artist and you can present him a script. My best wishes for the new year ty for the vid!
