New Sunder Drops and Herald Spawns, What Average Players Think Diablo 2 Resurrected

utmastuh: Killed 100 heralds, a bunch of them T4-T5, and got nothing but blues. They were very tough too. I found my sunder in a random chest in Durance.
salmurgolo1478: Found my first sunder charm from a herald yesterday. It was a cold sunder. Offline single player on P3 difficulty. Was only playing for an hour also. Was pretty pumped considering last season i wasted so much damn time chasing heralds that would never spawn and when they did, it was worthless

Katie-hb8iq: Just farm terrorized andariel for a day - you will find sunder charms like crazy. I have like 15-20. I just drop them on the ground because they not worth crafting to speculate on. To put this in perspective, I find more cold sunder charms than Lum runes to craft them...

I don't think people are lying... I have 415% mf on a tal sorc. I think people are farming different areas. Andariel and elite/champ packs around her drop them. I do not farm the Heralds at all. I think I killed 2 since the patch.

HurtLockerGaming: Pretty much agree 100% here. I will say I've got my Sunders from random spots. No dice from the Heralds. Would be nice if the Heralds would drop good loot. It would make fighting them over and over somewhat worth it. I'm sure it's something Bliz will patch/fix (fingers crossed).
SeanOKLA: Fwiw, found my first ever sunder NM TZ Flayer Jungle, off a flayer enemy.
Jaazar88: So far I've found 3 sunder charms in chaos sanctuary. 1 from diablo, 2 from t1 heralds. If you terrorize act 4, you can trigger a herald toward the end of clearing and can instant nuke it with diablos seal. Makes fighting the heralds much easier.

__________________________1881: If you terrorize all 5 acts you're most likely going to get 1 new sunder after 75-90 ish herald kills I'd even say 1.25 -1.5 considering I got 2 sunders in a single run 3 times. But it's more consistent now that it's every full clear of 1 act or a full 1-5 act clear very rng based. Idk how some of you aren't getting 8 heralds in a single zone at a single moment, as a WW barb you accidentally spawn more just by killing everything, nearly died when i saw 4 of them with aura enchanted thorns and stoneskin.

When I ran 300% MF i got a lot of uniques and when I was 150% MF I got more sunders

What I'd like to see is to change herald drop rates based off terrorzone level such as if you are tz96 the boss only drops stuff from tz 87 since you're already blasting at level 94 , rather than heralds dropping level 9 uniques when you're a 97 barb and you're on your 30th herald kill in a row it's kind of like what the hell is this man?? (This includes tc87 bases etc)
MourningKnight: As is so frequently the case in D2, the moment I stop actively trying to find something I get it right away. Yesterday I gave on heralds and TZs since it just isn’t my idea of fun then decided to go farm Andariel. Three runs in and I got a Crack of the Heavens off her. I’d say the herald spawn rate is great now, I’d just prefer if they could drop anything else useful at all. I do love that the sunders can come from anywhere, too.
superbaas8822: I've found 6 so far, 1 from a herald. Funny enough, 3 have been in chaos santuary, 2 of those being terrorized, the herald was tal rasha's tomb. One was from Andariel, last was in black marsh right outside of the forgotten tower in a terror zone, not from a herald, but from an elite who spawned a herald.
nickbrown2328: The moment the patch dropped I signed onto my SP warlock and set new talents and I went to dark wood or black marsh and literally the very first mob dropped a sunder charm. I thought, oh wow this may be ridiculous. I haven't found another since. 2 full tz game clears, several tz act clears, and probably 100 combo of andy/meph/diablo kills.
BobbyOxygen: I've gotten 3 so far. I find the best method is to run the rotating terror zones until you get to herald tier 3 or 4. Then terrorize act 1 so the tier 5's aren't too crazy difficult. It's still quite the time investment, so I think it's fine they can drop from other monsters too.
Flashiest88: Found an SoJ from Hell Andariel before a Sunder. 5-6 hours a day of play.

That being said, I enjoy full clearing zones and having the scaling chance per monster to spawn a herald on kill. It's a good mechanic

elzokoloco7719: I found two charms prior patch, P1, online, mf 135. Since the patch I found a charm in almost every game, simply by herald farming
pojoakim: Online so far I've found 4 sunders since the changes. 1 cold and 1 flame of Andariel and a random mob. 1 cold and 1 crack of heralds.
HeyseusKristos: News Flash, a lot of items like the SoJ can drop in NM. Its cool that sunders drop there too. Though I been trying that NM TZ method this week and not got a single one to drop.
