Maybe because I know what it’s like to be scrolling through comments, hoping for something to click some small sign that you’re not crazy for wanting more. For a long time, I was doing all the “right” things, but still feeling stuck. It’s like I could see the life I wanted, but couldn’t reach it. I didn’t have language for what I was missing until I found The Cancelled Laws of Reality by Selene Veritas. It didn’t force me into some flashy transformation it just helped me see how the laws behind reality actually work. It showed me how to stop forcing and start aligning. If that speaks to where you’re at, maybe this will find you like it found me.

Regardless of how people feel about the direction POE took over the last decade or so, Chris Wilson truly loved and wanted to capture what made D2 so great. Loot and character progression are the 2 most important elements by a wide margin. If loot isn't challenging, diverse, and rewarding then you have no aarpg. If you're character doesn't both feel challenged and at times overpowered, it doesn't work. If I take the time to grind my character above where I am in the game, I have to feel that difference the same way I would if I progressed past my characters ability.


It's why I play ruthless ssf, and why I am hopeful for the direction POE2 could take. The biggest issue is that players already know content doesn't matter until maps and then maps don't matter until they're juiced.
CommanderReplay: In regard to the loot. Ive seen 5 Jah runes drop in multi player games, i did not pick up a single one of them. Happy that loot free for all is gone.
rgracon: I’ve been playing since 2001, and absolutely love this game. However, there are three areas that still prevent it from reaching its peak: #1 is PK not requiring both parties to hostile. #2 is free for all loot. And #3 is not enough stash tabs or not stackable loot or no currency tab.

BelialTnTn: The stamina bar, I still remember when I first played Diablo 2 and realized "hey I can RUN!" after the looooooong and tedious walks through Tristram in Diablo 1, I still remember how excited I was doing just that: running.
Of course those long walks in Diablo 1 in Tristram are what made me appreciate the music as much as I did. I have to say, I haven't felt that immensely touched by a video game music since those days, and I only felt something similar this year while playing Baldur's Gate 3 (Bard's Dance specifically, and how I discovered I can join other bards playing it)
