The Truth About Bishibosh in Diablo 2

Thegardenlizard: I like how you went over the lore and dialogue within the game to explain these mobs. Also i didn’t realize the fallen said other names other than rakanishu. And bishibosh in d3 and d4. I’m surprised how thorough it was for just one super unique.

EthVortexShield: Honestly I've always been amused by the fact that the fallen shamans only mention the names of other fallen shaman like bishibosh and colenzo, and the fallen themselves mentioning rakanishu. Playing the game enough, it doesnt sound like gibberish as soon as you see and recognize the names. Usually people just kill them so fast.

RancorSnp: When Diablo 3 was still on the horizon, I was writing for a small diablo 2 fan page, even got to play the pre-release version of the game (and the fact that said pre-release was actually a better game than the final product was in large part why Diablo 3 was the last Blizzard game I ever purchased...) anyhow back from my tangent. I do get a funny feeling seeing a second person who actually went in and investigated the culture of the fallen. It was my favorite article I had written for the site. Looking into the meaning of the drawings the tribes of the fallen, the names of their heroes, apparent conflict with the tainted really cool stuff.

Ah I remember I couldn't wait to expand on it when Diablo 3 gives us more insight into their culutre... ah how naiive I was at the time ^^

StrayC70: Fun fact: it’s impossible to restore the topless version of corrupted rogues by modifying the textures, since the model with minimal corruption has alpha channel support disabled. This only works with versions that are disfigured with full corruption. Also, the game files lack a model with medium corruption that was present in the concept art.

1. Flamespike. Same location and all.

2. The old colors of some mobs. The teal or green here, corpsefires old colors, and the ability for PURPLE mobs to spawn again.

Turns out Fire Enchanted is bugged but still, definitely noobs first wake up call in Nightmare.
