These Uses for Runes are Actually BETTER Than Making Runewords Diablo 2 Resurrected

chrispratt3666: I think it's worth mentioning how you can cube a socketed item with a Hel rune and a tp scroll to empty out the sockets. It's great for rerolling your spirit shield for the max fcr roll, rerolling Insight for a better meditation aura, or salvaging that Oculus you accidentally put a ptopaz into.

nenoman3855: Speaking of socketing early game stuff: keep those Jewels of envy if you find them. 20 poison over 2 seconds doesn't seem like much, but you can use them as early as level 1, and you don't have to socket them on weapons like gems to get the damage. You can use them on shields, armor, or helms. Very powerful levelling items.

mrcnorth7149: All good ideas. I socket 2 or 3 socket bows early game with whatever I find, runes or gems, as long as it is damage from a distance, I like it. The Lem sword is great for later in the game, now do the same with Ist runes, mf is great in swords like that on switch

Ferrindel: Re: TalTalTal, it’s not as much damage and requires a higher level but I like throwing in RalOrtThul on a flail. Makes me feel like I’m using that awesome weapon from Baldur’s Gate 2.

Of course, you’re unlikely to use it long by the time you hit level 23 and can. But still!
