ruck-a-tron: Absorb happens after your resistances are applied so it works best with high elemental resistance. Absorbs are capped at 40%.

NeiltheDeal: Yeah, an eth Guardian angel would make a merc tank Travincal no problem. Would assume it applies if equipped on a paladin as well. Then can also put 10 points into resist fire for 5 extra fire resist. You would probably end up with 90-95 fire resist.

nicovega1831: I guess this would be the job for the Avenger Paladin. The resist auras for Vengeance are not only providing more damage but also passively increasing the max resists on elemental damage. Still building an Avenger can be tricky but once you hit 95 res all you laugh at elemental damage. Therefore I love to use guardian angel as an Avenger.
flamerollerx01: Now try this with a prayer merc using insight and cure helm. This allows you to be a normal paladin build. I'd argue the merc should use treachery until fade is procced and switch to anything you can find with lifesteal. The unique exceptional leather armor, Skin of the flayed one I think it's called, has quite a lot of lifesteal, but I think there are others that are better. Even just fortitude would be good, though at a certain level I think mercs have 75% resistances? Shaftstop is also a good option and the prayer/cleansing/meditation regeneration does at least work on mercenaries, even though he won't have any lifesteal that way.

SparcBR: I've did some research on my sorc with this same ammy and I found out that when there are too many sources of fire it would drop hp, while in like 4 mobs or less it would heal. So it's just bugged or it's a hidden mechanic.

xUSAFWolfman: Hey Iceman.. you should do Rising sun, raven, tgods and 1 bk ring because you will get all elements and hammers heal you from bk.. with enigma and some swaps for Uber smite you are immortal. Do a2 merc with insight, cure helm and fort to get your healing combo as well
